1.Wash.

Before taking your classic car out on the road, it’s a good idea to give it a hand wash.  To maintain its look over time, wash it and dry it whenever possible.  This will keep salt and grime from damaging the exterior.

2.Wax.

After you hand wash your classic car, it’s time to give it a good waxing, as well.  Waxing is the best way to make your paint job stand out, and it will also help preserve the aesthetic of your vehicle as time progresses.  Try to wax your classic car once every six months and then use some chrome polish throughout, as well.

3.Clean the interior.

Washing and waxing are important, but keeping the interior clean is important, as well.  It’s important to keep your classic car looking great, and keeping the interior cleaned is a great way to preserve its life.  You’ll want to protect your car’s leather from stains, and you’ll want to keep it safe from the sun, as well.  Leather creams, UV blockers and vinyl cleaners are all helpful for this kind of maintenance.

4.Change the oil.

While all of the outward appearances are important, what goes on under the hood is crucial, as well.  At JD’s Auto Repair, we can provide you with all of the information that you’ll need to keep your classic car looking and riding great.  Regular oil changes will keep your classic car riding great.
